"The location couldn't be better -- right off the Gran Via, fifty yards from a Metro station, easy walking into the Puerta del Sol and other areas of Old Madrid, and maybe 15 minutes on foot to the Prado and the other large museums in that area. Endless food and drink options, including several excellent ones within (literally) steps of the lodging front door. Spacious, very comfortable room with its own full kitchen -- fridge, stove, microwave, and even a washing machine. Very good water temp and pressure in the shower. An elevator, as well as stairs, to your upper-floors room. You'll receive a friendly e-mail from Juan, the manager, before you arrive in Madrid, with detailed suggestions on how to arrive from the airport. You MUST let him know your approximate time of arrival so he can meet you at the Apartamentos to let you in and explain the keys, the room electronics, etc. This is NOT a hotel with a 24/7 front desk; in fact, the entrance is so non-descript you may miss it when you first get there, even with the correct address in hand. If I go back to Madrid, I will definitely stay here again."
