About the apartment

In Rome, on the street of 'Via della Gensola', right in the heart of the city's Trastevere district, you will find an old 1600s "palace", which we have carefully modernised and adapted into comfortable apartments offering those who stay a truly unforgettable holiday.

Via della Gensola, located between a small lane called 'Vicolo della Luce' and the square of 'Piazza in Piscinula', is one of the oldest streets in Trastevere and by the end of the 15th century it had already been mentioned in a variety of official documents. In the 1800s, the street and the tavern were popular haunts for all types of artists.

The Danish painter Ditlev Blunck, as well as other artists from northern Europe, came to Rome to study the wonders of the capital, and the Osteria La Gensola has been immortalised in one of his paintings that is now on display at the Museum of Cophenagen. The silence and charm of these quaint alleys and squares still remain the same:"Apartments La Gensola, a dream vacation in the heart of Trastevere, Rome."
