Don’t worry – you didn’t take a wrong turn and find yourself across the Sahara. This 2,000-year-old temple once stood on the banks of the Nile in Aswan, Egypt, but was given to Spain in 1968 to prevent its submersion due to the construction of a dam.

The temple is free to visit and guided tours can also be arranged.
